i pretty much agree on what you said. Everyone should take more personal responsibility for their health. If you want to life a long healthy life, it's critical that you learn the ins-and-outs of a health diet. The meat and junk food industries are really hoping that you don't care enough to educate yourself because they are making a killing wreaking havoc on your health.

We are in the era of needing more food for the growing population. Business people are looking into generating easy production of food, but sometimes the noble cause is abuse. Some break the rule for financial gain. This should be strictly looked upon to to shun harming people.

Different people have differing views when it comes to food. Your say here is an eye opener especially to those who are still not into healthy lifestyle.

Humans are killing themselves slowly...and surely! With the vast choices of toxic foods, who cares of health. Good thing there are concerned people out there who still finds time to spread the importance of healthy eating.

There's a famous story, apocryphal, that when Teddy Roosevelt was reading a particularly gruesome passage in Upton Sinclair's 'The Jungle,' he became so disgusted that he removed the cheeseburger he was eating that day and threw it out the window.

This sort of reporting is definitely underreported as you suggest. Small landowning farmers in India are committing suicide daily because of iffy results from GM seeds which self-destruct after one harvest. And as you write, it's crazy to think its possible but many of these lawsuits against farmers whose soil a wayward GM seed was blown onto, are being successfully sued.

Unfortunately, things are not likely to change no matter how much knowledge is put out there. As long as the economy suffers and organic options are pricey, people will vote with their pocketbook, not their politics. We can only hope there is some kind of organization arranged on a grand scale, the sort of which that inspired Mr. Roosevelt, who took on the meatpacking industry following the defensation of his cheeseburger.
