Thanks for all your comments…Neal, Daft Punk at Sonic was truly unforgettable! Alas, Asagiri Jam, while deserving of a mention is in October my man…a bit late on the festival goer’s radar to be hanging around this old archipelago when there’s likely good work to be done elsewhere…that said, Autumn is one of the best times to be in the old J.P. i’m from texas… one day of ACL Fest with an equivalent price to the cheapest of these and a week of little to no $ shows at SXSW really puts these prices to shame.
i don’t care if zombie elvis returned from the dead to shake his uhhuhuhuhips to mozart as his pearly bones pound the piano and jimmie hendrix scratched solos with his spine… i’m not paying that much to hang out in the rain. save your money, go to thailand and or some exotic place and pay a bar band to play all of your favorite songs in broken english for the price of an Japanese beer at one of those concerts.

Me either non of those festivals.
This kind of fes.. the problem to me is the weather (esp in rain) and cleanliness, etc.. yeah, like Kure, maybe I am also feeling too old, too.. :p

Tho once actually got a ticket of the Fuji Rock in 1999 – a decade passed? – when they moved in Naeba for the first time. Mainly I wanted to see Joe Strummer. Joe Strummer, tho dudes! But I couldn’t make it.
I do not forgive myself missed him. (sob.. RIP Joe..)

I’ve been to Metamorphose (saw Dj Sneak and Mark Farina !!!), Summer Sonic (Daft Punk, unforgettable) and this year Solar Eclipse – woo hoo!. No mention of Asagiri??
